Description:
Lake Song-Kul, situated at the altitude of 3016 meters above sea level, is one of Kyrgyzstan’s signature destinations for horse riding. Surrounded by green pastures and snow-capped summits, this sky-blue lake is breathtakingly beautiful. The equestrian excursions to Lake Song-Kul, which generally last three full days, with two nights spent staying in yurts.With road approach and back to Bishkek it takes five days. This is an unforgettable experience!
Airport - Bishkek (35km 40 min)
Arrival in Bishkek. Meeting at the airport “Manas. Transfer to hotel. Rest. Bishkek sightseeing: Visit Central Ala-Too Square, White Central Mosque, Oak Park with sculptures and statues of Famous Kyrgyz People, open air eastern markets, Old Square. Dinner in restaurant. Overnight at the hotel. Meals: no
Bishkek – Kyzart Village - Kilemche, (horse riding 4,5 hrs)
Breakfast. Early morning drive to Kyzart village, located in Kochkor, 280 km, 4-5 hrs. You will have lunch at a small local family house where you meet your Horse guide. After lunch, we will start the tour to the Kilemche pasture (you can leave some things in Kyzart and take only the essentials for 3 days).
Start horse trekking to Son –Kul lake through the Kyzart Pass (2664m) and then cross Kyzyl-Kiya jailoo, an enormous, relatively flat sea of grass. Continue over the Chaar-Archa Pass (3 061 m) into the Chaar-Archa Valley then cross the river and follow the trail over hills to Kilemche Jailoo. Accommodation and dinner in local Sheperds’ Yurt Inn.
Meals: full board.
Kilemche – Son-Kul Lake (horse riding 5-6 hrs.)
After breakfast riding to Jalgyz Karagai pass (3400 m), over the Song-Kol Mountains and into the lake’s basin. The morning climb affords wonderful views of Kilemche jailoo, and the pass itself is rocky and exciting. After lunch (picnic) at Jaman Echki, follow the lakeshore east to the yurt at Batai Aral. On the road you can enjoy beautiful small rivers, mountains, flowers. You will meet the shepherd and his family. If you like, you can drink hot tea and kumyz (horse milk), enjoy the last lights of the day to walk around the pastures or just get to know the locals.
As option: Horse Game Kok-Boruogh in Son Kul Lake. Free time. Overnight are in a yurt camp.

Son-Kul Lake (horse riding, 3 hrs) - Bishkek, 350 km
Breakfast. Horse riding in Son-Kul lake, 3 hrs. Lunch in a Yurt Camp. Afternoon meet driver and transfer to Bishkek. Lunch in Kochkor village where you will see manufacture of felt carpet. Further, on the way excursion to Burana Tower (X-XI century. Overnight at the hotel.
