Description:
The Talas valley in the north-west of Kyrgyzstan surrounded by the Kazakh border is considered to be the cradle of Kyrgz people’s spiritual treasure. Every mountain, river, pasture here has a tale to tell of the great national hero Manas. This is the land of lesser hero the 20th century writer, Chingiz Aitmatov.
Trekking Talas range to high-altitude Lake Sary-Chelek goes through turquoise lakes, deep gorges and picturesque mountain passes, away from the civilization. Biosphere Reserve of Sary-Chelek is one of the most beautiful sights in Kyrgyzstan. Do not miss this destination of Kyrgyzstan!

Itinerary

Day 1

Bishkek
Arrival in Bishkek. Meeting at the airport “Manas”. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Sightseeing tour: visit central square Ala-Too, State History Museum, Fine Art Museum, Oak park, Osh market, Philormonia Concert Hall and etc. Accommodation in the hotel 3*. Meals:no

Day 2

Bishkek – Talas - Camp, 291 km, 4-5 hrs
Breakfast. Transfer at 09:00 to the Talas town (291 km, 5 hrs) through Too Ashu Pass (3125 m). On the way in Suusamyr valey. Afternoon arrival to Talas town at 15:30 and you will change transport for special mountain vehicle and transfer to the camp (60 km off road). Altitude of Camp side 1968m, Dinner and accommodation at Camp Cottages. Meals: breakfast, dinner

Day 3

Camp – Besh Kel Gorge 3200 m (10 km, 6-7 km trekking)
Breakfast. Start trekking along Kurai Aryk Range, altitude of riding trail is 3000 – 3200 m. Lunch-box. Dinner and overnight in Besh-Kel Gorge (tent camp). Trekking distance: 12 km / 6-7 hrs. Meals: full board.

Day 4

Besh Kel Gorge – Sabator Pass (8 km / 5-6 hrs)
Breakfast. Preparation to continue to the Besh-Kel Gorge (2400 m). Start point is at the altitude of 2400 m. Riding trail goes along the river and fir trees, which makes amazing views. Dinner and overnight in the tent down of Sabator Pass.
Meals: full board.

Day 5

Sabator Pass – Chat-Kargai (8 km / 6 hrs)
Breakfast. Horse riding to Sabator Pass (3800 m). Trekking distance 7 km, 6 hrs. You will be having lunch in place which local people calling Shantor where you will be able to see amazing panoramic view. After lunch we continue our riding and will be having dinner and overnight in tent in Chat-Kargai (2300 m)
Meals: full board.

Day 6

Chat-Kargai – KashkaSuu (12 km, 5-6 hrs)
Breakfast. Trekking over Chat-Karagai (2200 m). On the way, you may chance to see wild animals like Ibex, Golden Eagle, Tien Shan’s bears, birds, show cats, snow leopards, lynxes and many other wild animals. Horse riding distance 12 km, 6 hr. Dinner and overnight in Kashka-Suu village. Meals: full board.

Day 7

Kashka Suu – Sary Chelek Lake (10 km, 4-5 hrs)
Breakfast. Breakfast. Start trekking towards Kashka-Suu, altitude of riding trail is 2000 –2300 m. After lunch, you will be taken near the small mountain lake Kara-Suu. Boat Cruise on the Lake 30 min. Visit local family for dinner and accommodation. You can learn the local customs and traditions. Horse riding distance 10 km, 4-5 hrs. Accommodation in Artyk village. Meals: full board.

Day 8

Sary-Chelek Lake – Bishkek
Breakfast. Meet with driver, load all equipment and drive to Bishkek along the Naryn river, which forms Toktogul water reserve. Enjoy magnificent views enroute to Bishkek. (520 km, 7 hrs). Dinner in local restaurant. Accommodation in the hotel 3*. Meals: breakfast.

Day 9

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport “Manas”. Departure.

– In case of early check-in the hotel, extra night is charged (35 USD per person / twin room). Check-in time in hotel: 13:00 and check-out 11:00
– Single accommodation is available in Bishkek only.

Altitude: The altitude on this program rarely causes anyone any problems and the trekking goes in quit manner, without big altitude difference. We advise to walk in one manner and drink more fluid.
