The World Nomad Games are a unique event, not only for sports, but also for people to become acquainted with the cultural life of our country. The unique nomad camp of 150 Yurts will be in Kyrchyn Jailoo (30 km far from Cholpon-Ata town) and will show elements of the nomad lifestyle of Nomad People.
The World Nomad Games started in 2014, 2016, 2018 and it is held every 2 years on the shores of Lake Issy-Kul, in Cholpon-Ata town, which is the main resort area of Issyk-Kul Lake, initiated by Kyrgyz Republic government to promote nomad people culture and tradition.
Kyrgyzstan government hand overed the next World Nomad Game 2022 to Turkey and it took place in Astana, Kazakhstan 2024. The 6th World Nomad Games is returning to Kyrgyzstan in 2025. It is planned for beginning of September 2025 and it became the most must participate in worldwide popular nomad’s people festival.
This is an exclusive group tour which will dive into the culture of the nomadic peoples of Central Asia as well as offering a unique chance to visit the incredible World Nomad Games 2025. During this journey you will visit the must visit places such as Son-Kul lake with unique nomad vibe where you can ride a horse and feel yourself as real Nomad. After the World Nomad Game festival, you will visit the southern side of the Issyk-Kul Lake making a trip around the lake. Bishkek – Son-Kul Lake, 350 km
Meet in Bishkek at 08:00 and transfer to Son-Kul Lake (350 km, 6 hrs) via Kochor village. On the way visit souvenir and handicraft shop and lunch in local family. Afternoon arrival at the second highest alpine Lake Son-Kul (3016 m) where you can see the ancient culture, traditions and customs of Kyrgyz nomads which is still alive today. Taste Kyrgyz national drink “Kymyz” (fermented mare’s milk). Dinner and accommodation in Yurt Inn. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Day 2Son-Kul Lake
Breakfast. Free time to enjoy untouched nature and do active walking along the lakeside. As an option you can hire the horses for a horse rising at the summer pasture. Early September, Son-Kul Lake pasture is fully covered by alpine flowers "Edelweiss". Accommodation in Yurt Camp and full board.

Day 3Son-Kul Lake – Kurtka - Kochkor
Breakfast. Transfer to Kochor village through Naryn town (260 km, 4-5 hours). On this day we will take the route via Kurtka Pass where you will see the amazing fir tree mountains. Afternoon drive to Kochkor village. Dinner and accommodation in Family run home stay to be learn local customs and lifestyle. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Day 4Kochkor – Issyk-Kul Lake: World Nomad Games
Breakfast. Transfer to Cholpon-Ata, the northern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake (140 km, 3 hrs) where the World Nomad Games start. Issyk Kul Lake is the second largest alpine lake in the world after Lake Titicaca. This evening, we will attend the World Nomad Games opening ceremony. The event is popular among Central Asia countries and expected a large crowd of many nationalities.

Day 5Cholpon-Ata town: World Nomad Games
During these 2 days we will visit different The World Nomad Games which take place in different locations. We will visit events in all the locations. Events include several forms of wrestling such as "alysh" belt wrestling, eagle hunting, bone throwing and the enduringly popular and the most popular among nomad people “kok-buru” game (headless goat polo).

Day 6Kyrchyn pasture: World Nomad Games
After breakfast drive to Kyrchyn pasture 30 km far from Cholpon –Ata where more than 300 Yurts (Kyrgyz mobile house) will be settled down to create Ethno Nomad Village. In this place some of the Nomad Games will take place. Young men and women in traditional national costumes will meet guests at the beautiful gate of the ethno-village.
From the very first steps, the guests will feel the indescribable atmosphere of celebrities, they will see the primordial culture of nomads and get acquainted with the customs and traditions of the Kyrgyz people. The opening of the Nomad Village will be followed by a grand folk festival.

Day 7Cholpon-Ata – Karakol – Jety Oguz Gorge
After breakfast drive to Jety Oguz Gorge (175 km 3-4 hrs) via Karakol town where you will visit Prejevalskiy Museum, Dungan Mosque (built in 1910 years), Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (XVIIII cen.) in Karakol. Afternoon arrival to Jety-Oguz Gorge, it’s famous for its red rock formations that are called the Seven Bulls – Jeti Oguz. Also, you will see Broken Heart Mountain. Walking to waterfall in the Kok-Jaiyk summer pasture which is surrounded by coniferous forests. Dinner and accommodation in the Nomad Yurts of local Sheperd’s. Meals: breakfast, dinner.
Day 8Jet Oguz – Fairytale (Skazka) Canyon - Bishkek
After breakfast transfer to Bishkek (350 km, 5 hrs) along the southern side of Issyk-kul Lake. On the way visit Fairy Tale canyon for hiking 1-1,5 hours. In the canyon, you can find a variety of bizarre figures of stone and clay. It is composed of multi-colored clays, minerals and rocks that add to the scenic beauty of this place. Arrival in Bishkek by evening and drop you off at your place. Meals: breakfast, lunch.
