The climate continental, warm summers, cold winters, lots of sun, and huge temperature gradients. The snowpack is most volatile in March, and shallowest in December/early January. Late January-February and April are the ideal months for hitting the backcountry
The Suusamyr
mountain range is situated in the heart of the Tian Shan at an altitude of 2200 metres. Surrounded by snowy summits as high as 4500 metres.For those who prefer a backcountry experience, which is safer and not dependent on the weather, can take advantage of the Suusamyr Snowcatskiing programs. You are pulled by our snowcat, an all-terrain vehicle that also has a passenger cab for alpine skiers. Skitour and Backcountry programs are available for the most fit, experienced skiiers, who climb to the top of Tian Shan, and then fly down on untouched powder to the valley.
Brief description:
This Cat Skiing – Ski Tour program takes in some of the most beautiful scenery in Kyrgyzstan – mountain ranges and alpine peaks. You will have the opportunity to discover the natural areas of Suusamyr Range and epic staying in the mountain lodge with Sauna, Ping-pong, Wifi, Tv and Lots of Food.
Day 1. Airport Manas – Suusamyr Lodge (160km)
Upon arrival the group will be met by guide in a comfortable transport from and to Suusamyr/Manas International Airport, transfer to Suusamyr (160km), check in the Suus Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day 2,3,4,5,6. Suusamyr Lodge
Breakfast at Suus Lodge. These days we will do Ski Touring and exploring local mountain areas. Lunch boxes with us. Dinner & lodging at base camp.
SuusLodge offers the best snowcatskiing on the powder-laden, completely virgin slopes of SuusamyrToo and Kyrghyz Range. Skiers with the sense of adventure, who are looking for an escape from civilization, lifts, line-ups and crowds, will be pleasantly rewarded.
(Snowcat is an enclosed-cab, truck-sized, fully traced vehicle with a passenger cabin for 12 people, used to take the skiers/snowboarders up to the point of descent).

Conditions of the program:
Equipment: Participants must have their equipment such as backpacks, desirable to have a personal sleeping bag, warm clothes, skies(fat skies), skins, beacons, shovel etc. (The whole structure of personal equipment)
Physical requirements:Participants must be in good physical condition, at least AST 1,2 level. The differences of heights range from 600 m to 1000 m in vertical elevation. The maximum elevation is 4000 m
