RAFTING THE CHU RIVER (grade: 2-4).
The Chu River, located close to Bishkek, is the favored spot for river rafting in Kyrgyzstan. With its high altitude of over 1,500 meters and a water temperature that varies between 15-18 degrees Celsius during June to mid-September – it’s the best season for rafting trips. Notably, Boom Gorge is part of this river where rafters often come to train as it’s considered the prime location in Central Asia. The accessibility of Chu River is better than other rivers and has rapids that are more manageable. Most tours last one to two days, but longer ones that include several rivers are also available. DAY 1 Bishkek – Boom Valley – Bishkek
09:00. Transport, packing, and transfer to Boom Valley (100km)
11:00. Meet with the guide and get an explanation.
14:00 Lunch at a local restaurant on the way back to Bishkek.
15:00 Tour of the city (Central Square, Ala Too, Monument to Manas & Lenin, Museum of Art, Second World War Memorial).
17:00. Finish. Transfer to Bishkek

Equipment: In order to participate, participants must have their own equipment including waterproof clothes, a change of clothing, and appropriate warm clothing. Physical requirements: Participants must be in good physical condition, but no special skills are needed to participate in the rafting activity.
